I NEVER WANT TO DEAL WITH ASURION AGAIN (well… as long as I can help it). So fingers crossed I don’t “break” my phone again. I’m sorry this is such a long rant video, I just needed to get it off of my chest. THUMBS UP FOR EVERYTHING FINALLY BEING OK.

    with that being said, Asurion does kind of suck though. I've been disconnected by several of their reps. I think they have a really low handle time metric and don't seem to really give a shit if the customer is happy or not. Surveys must not be a big part of their score.

    I absolutely agree. If you pay for something then you DESERVE to receive what you specifically asked for…This was me not to long ago with a phone case purchased on Amazon LOL! Great video.

    If you do look on your policy it should state that color isn't covered and they can send you color upon availability.

    I went through the same thing. One person ended our convo after asking me a question that took me a couple minutes to answer because I had to find the info. It was like she was too busy to wait 2 minutes for me to respond.

    Hey, I was googling for more information about asurion and I'm glad I found your video!
    I got my phone stolen and filed a claim online, and they also sent me space grey. I then called them to ask for a color change, and they told me the gold was out of stock and only had silver available. I just received my phone and found that they sent me space grey…….. My question is: Did you end up sending back the space grey? And if they paid for the shipping

    I guess I'm lucky. My Galaxy Mega broke after having it for two years. They replaced it with a Galaxy s5. It was refurbished. 3 weeks later, the screen started jumping. They sent me a brand new Galaxy s6. In the end, I ended up with a better phone.

    What I don't understand is how so many people can complain about an insurance company. If you did not pay for that extra protection where would you be? The answer is you would be S.O.L. with a busted up water phone or what have you. Now I honestly know that process is not always what we expect. It won't been next day or next business day. It's a price we have to pay rather than coming out of pocket again for an entire new phone that maybe we can't afford. And  if you read the terms and conditions it will let you know that the color of the phone is not a guarantee. Only what is on staock by the phone name or another phone of same value.

    i'm going through the exact same thing. I had to go through so many representatives just to finally get what I wanted! Asurion is so terrible, I'm thinking of canceling my insurance with them & getting apple care instead.

    Wowww that customer service guy sounds like a complete and utter douche bag. But on the up side you finally got your gold iPhone and you got to keep your insurance. But that was way to much work. They need to make it way easier for people to get replacement phones.
