thanks…i live in area where there is no signal..i done this to my galaxy note 1 and now i have a signal…the only problem was that the Ariel connection had to be drilled out of a plastic cap before i could insert any wire that was effective.I now have a siganl,be it very poor but it is a signal and from having none to getting one is amazing.i was about to get a new phone or change provider so this has saved me a load of time money and agro…cheers….

bè careful because fittin a drill more big than original one that Samsung's engineers use for calibrate internal antenna, can destroy the small pin inside the connector.
after put inside a big wire and then remove, you will not more able to receive with internal antenna.
read here how many people do that.

I'm having similar signal strength problems, but unfortunately my Galaxy Note 4 does not have the external antenna connection. Nevertheless, I found your solution very interesting, and I'm now thinking my problem is with the internal antenna, and am researching solutions.

Shame on all these cellphone manufacturers. What the hell. My sister is having no signal problem on Samsung Galaxy Note and I have Samsung Galaxy S5 with full signal and we are both at my home. I'm going to try this.

This is excellent! I work in the industry and never thought of this. Have you tried a zerolemon battery? Mine is 9500MaH and it's awesome! You can get them on Amazon. I'm so doing this.

do not push in very very hardly if you do that then all the other emails that people have said for you not to use it will not work you can make it so you don't get no signal really at all even though you don't have a signal at the moment where you're located in this video seeing other people with this they actually make a antenna that connects to them ports so don't be scared just do not forcefully push that wire and forcefully because if you over push it you will break and I have seen the real antennas that are made to connect to them port some phones have two ports some phones have one port if you look up external antennas for Samsung S4 you will see a video or two of them using it just don't be scared don't forcefully put it in seems like you need to use it

The real danger may be an increase in RF radiation from your phone.

It may be a health hazard.

You may want to use bluetooth headphones for receiving and making calls.
