Can you do one for the vibe? I recently dropped mine the toilet and I am curious now if it could survive your torture tests.

I just bought a Kyocera Torque because it appeared (by the description) to be able to handle my abusive lifestyle. What with 2 year contracts now, not a single phone that I've ever owned has been able to make it even a year. 3 months until the end of my contract my Samsung Galaxy finally irreparably died of water damage. I had jury rigged it a few times along the way. I was stuck. The Torque seemed to be the toughest phone on the shelf. That still didn't mean that it was tough enough. Since I didn't trust my source (Sprint) I was curious just how tough this phone is. After viewing this video I think that it's good enough, but in a year in a half, will it still be tough enough to finish my contract? We'll see.

My husband works with Coal all day and all of his phone speakers die really easily. Would be interested to see how the speakers do with sand/grit/dirt in them.

Three tests I'd love to see:
    1. Do a Mohs Hardness test of the surfaces of the phone (including the screen).
    2. Simulate a hazardous pocket or purse. Put the phone into a sack or hamster ball with car keys, coins, and the like. Close up the sack or hamster ball. Put it into a front-loading dryer. Set the dryer to a no-heat tumble dry for 60 minutes.
    3. Bake at 160 degrees Fahrenheit (the temperature of a hot car).

I can tell u from personal experience that it will survive being ran over then backed over again by both a ford excursion diesel and an Army Humvee screen up and came out perfect.
