How to setup Trusted Devices to automatically unlock your phone or tablet in Android Lollipop

26 Sep How to setup Trusted Devices to automatically unlock your phone or tablet in Android Lollipop

As I am sure you are aware, it’s very important to use a security lock screen on your mobile devices. If you ever misplace your phone or tablet, no one will be able to get into the device. However, constantly entering a code to unlock your phone is a royal pain in the you know what.

Finally, Finally, Finally Google has implemented Trusted Devices in Android. With Android Lollipop and a new feature called Smart Lock, you will be able to set any Bluetooth device, NFC tag, or even your face as a way to automatically unlock your device so you won’t have to constantly enter your PIN code or swipe a pattern over 100 times per day.

Your doing the NFC thing all wrong buddy. When you turn the screen on, you tap the phone on a specific NFC tag/device and it automatically unlocks (you don't leave it on the tag). This was a feature that was brought over from the Moto X 1st gen. Look up digital tattoo. Hope you annotate this video for the proper way to do it and hope this helps.

Your doing the tag wrong. You turn the screen on then run it past the tag it will unlock. I keep a tag in my wallet to use.

They don't support WiFi because if you use a WiFi pineapple it can fake WiFi networks.
