So who is the best carrier overall because from the video at&t sounded the most future proof with its support for lte a on top of it also having bands capable of VLTE also it supports the GSM standard which means if the device is unlocked it should work international if I'm not mistaken

Why wasn't sprints 2.5 threw 2.6 GHz frequency mentioned? This frequency is used in Japan & other countries so they can roam with sprints band 41 & it's really good speeds outside are always over 45 to 60 MBS & peaks at 74 around my area. Their 80p MHz band 26 penetrates the elevators in my building with 12 to 15 MBS inside the cement walls & steel parts of the elevator, not to mention that they've always had to use more antennas than Verizon's 800 MHz towers because sprint always used 1.9 GHz & now have 4 towers for every 2 that Verizon has with 800,1.9 & 2.5 GHz lte. It's unlimited data isn't as fast as Verizon's 80 MBS aws3 lte but the 2.5 GHz is only using 20 htz out of the 100 they own of the 2.5 threw 2.6 GHz.

I love learning about network technology . It's actually pretty mindblowing to live in this futuristic era . I can't even imagine 50 years from now

So after watching this video, I understand why Sprint & Tmobil are talking about merging….Sprints old Nextel spectrum and SoftBank deep pockets….Tmobil & Sprint will flourish, But I think it will be better for sprint to abandon its CDMA protocol and adopt a GSM protocol from here on out…the same way what Tmobil did to MetroPCS

LOL, you're from silicone valley, how did you get an image of astro satellite dishes which is from malaysia

I also think in the future that all phone companies will all have excellent service you almost won't be able to tell a different then most people choice is going to be affect by who's cheaper and who offers unlimited

  • Tech life channel
    Posted at 18:10h, 05 August

In my opinion sprint still has the most spectrum once they finish making full use of all the spectrum and adding all the three different bandwith and still keeping unlimited they will attract more customers

  • Tech life channel
    Posted at 18:10h, 05 August

How will sprint benefit from using three different bandwidth will that put sprint at the top eventually because that would mean they have the low frequency and the high frequency to keep unlimited and another bandwith that will throughout 1gbps

What would a T-Mobile/Sprint merger mean? What about Sprint's Spark?

Not to take sides or anything, but both Verizon and AT&T are the best well rounded (and most expensive) in terms of spectrum, because they both have low frequencies for their voice and 3G (HSPA for AT&T and Evdo A for Verizon) and LTE. So, both will be fine in a way of covering the city or non city areas.

I wonder where did the PCS band go for AT&T, T mobile and Verizon?

holy ***** how much do you guys pay in the US monthly for mobile network?
I live in denmark and I have a 3 Hours talk time (free sms) and 6 GB Data plan that costs 16 dollars per month…

To give some context the most expensive plan here in DK costs about 35-40 dollars per month for unlimited talk time and unlimited LTE data…

I am still a little unsure of why Google wants spectrum. They have TV services in certain places, but not on the scale of other major companies. They have never really show major interest in wireless communications; only in software and the device that carries their software.

  • RiceCake2000
    Posted at 18:10h, 05 August

I see Google coming in 2014 and buying a junk of that spectrum and starting their own service.

  • Robert Elliott
    Posted at 18:10h, 05 August

Yyeeee new video!!! After the FCC filing of the nexus5 I was sad to see the nexus5 will not support VZW LTE… So that means if Sony's Z1 gets on VZW I'll get that! If not…then I'll get the nexus 5 on sprint cause they still offer unlimited data; and thanks to this video sprint has better signal in dense cites like SF compared to VZW thanks!!!!
