Sprint’s not so magic box updated

02 Feb Sprint’s not so magic box updated

Apparently there are many limitations on Sprint’s magic box. Many of the Sprint customers that apply to receive them will not be able to utilize them. There are some cell phone tower Hardware restrictions. This leaves many people disappointed and understandably.

Have Sprint since 1999. Travel alot Nationwide and Internationally. Would recommend Sprint without hesitation.

I just got the magic box and now I have full bars and my speed has increased by almost 1000%. I had between 1-2mbps in my home and now between 10-15mbps. Although still slower than what I had through tmobile

Sprint is so pathetic I refused to even use it for free after a year. AT&T and Verizon are light years ahead. And they lie all the fucking time

The Magic Box prefers Band 41 for backhaul but it does work if the closest tower has Band 25.  It provides higher speeds if the UERELAY is band 41 but it will work if UERLEAY is on band 25.  I have installed multiple Magic Boxes and seen dramatic improvements in many cases.   It's not a repeater as some people have commented.  It transmits it's own separate Band 41 channel.

He is 100% correct I received a magicbox yesterday. After months of them telling me it was compatible with my area and they have checked several times. I keep getting an error 30 code and the best signal strength I am able to get is a 1 you need a 70 or Plus for that window to be considered a good area to keep the Box placed. I literally brought my box outside into my driveway as it does not need to be plugged in for testing, and the best I was able to get outside outside with no interior restrictions or window blockage was a 1%

Got an email from Sprint and they said I was eligible for a Magic Box. I called them and they just wanted to confirm my address and they're sending one out to me.

I signed up awhile ago and got a call I was getting it in the fall. However two days ago I got a email saying to call in and order one. I did and I'll have it within one to two weeks. I don't have Band 41 either I'm certain so I believe requirements changed.

Okaaaayyy so I work for sprint and this guy has NO idea what he's talking about. Also, I JUST got the magic box in today and I'm at FULL service and I can stream videos with no problem. So this isn't a very good video to watch. He's just a Debby downer. Have a good day people. 🙂

Sprint is shipping me a Magic Box this week. If i can't utilize in my Coney Island Brooklyn area, I'll have to say bye bye to Sprint, & hello to Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile.

You're absolutely right! If a carrier signal isn't working for you then you must switch. If not, then you are essentially wasting your hard earn money.

I got a call from sprint asking me to confirm my address and that my magic box would be shipped in 8-12 weeks. That was about 5-6 weeks ago. Sprint works well in my area so I’m not overly concerned about the wait but i would think sprint would crank them out a bit quicker to people who need them more to make up for a lack of coverage.

Sad days for Sprint customers. I am glad I switched away from Sprint and your video explaines my reasons why. Thanks for the not so magic box.
